Firstly I would like to thank everyone who came and celebrated our Holy Week Liturgies. It was my first Lent and Holy Week at the Cathedral and I was impressed by the way so many undertook the preparations and entered into the holy season with such devotion and I feel sure that the liturgies reflected the faith and joy of our lives in Christ.
The people who undertook particular ministries I want to thank especially, this enabled our celebrations to be worthy of our place of worship and our belief in Jesus, Thank you.
It was wonderful to have our Bishop Mark being present at so many of our celebrations, his words and actions spoke clearly to us of our Catholic faith. If you look on our website we have published his sermons and many of the pictures which were taken here at our Cathedral. The generosity of the parish is also greatly appreciated. As you know, the offerings given at the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday are your personal gift to the clergy and we are most grateful to you for your gifts and the collection this Easter is a sign of your appreciation for all we do for you. Thank you.
A blessed Eastertide to all of you. God bless you all. Canon Mark
