Monday 28 January marked five years since the episcopal ordination of our Bishop, Mark O'Toole, and to mark this occasion Bishop Mark celebrated a Mass with us. The mass was con-celebrated by Monsignor Keith, Bishop Mark's Private Secretary, Father Mark, our Dean, Father Peter Coxe, who was in residence at the Cathedral until August last year, and Deacon James, who will be ordained this year. Many of us can recall Bishop Mark's arrival with us in 2014 and we are grateful for his ministry with us since then. The mass was followed by a small gathering in the Cathedral Centre where parishioners had the opportunity to thank Bishop Mark personally for his service to us over the past five years; and, of course, there was cake! Take a look at a selection of photographs from the mass below.
Prayer for Bishop Mark As our Bishop celebrates the fifth anniversary of his episcopal ordination we pray that God will bless him and guide him as he continues his ministry with us. May the Holy Spirit shine brightly in him as he continues to serve the community of God's people in Plymouth. Amen.
