Thinking about Becoming Catholic?

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), The Cathedral Parish will be running a programme for those interested in   exploring the Catholic Faith. The next meeting will take place on Thursday 12th November at 7:30pm. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), is  a possible way for you to learn more and consider joining the Church, which would be next Easter 2021. We will be using the Sycamore course, an interactive  resource beautifully produced in locations around the UK, which presents a great opportunity to ask more, learn more and experience more of our   Catholic Faith.
Please contact the parish office email: plymouth-cathedral@prcdtr.org.uk or telephone 01752 662537 to find out more.
If you know of anyone who would like to consider this please encourage them to join us.
On our website (Plymouth Cathedral) we have an introduction to the history of the RCIA – look under Sacraments and see the YouTube link.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), or Ordo Initiationis Christianae Adultorum (OICA) is a process developed by the Catholic Church for prospective converts to Catholicism who are above the age of infant baptism. Candidates are gradually introduced to aspects of Catholic beliefs and practices. The basic process applies to adults and older children, with younger children initiated through an adapted version sometimes incorrectly referred to as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC).
The RCIA course runs every year from around September/October until the Easter weekend (term time only). If you would like to enrol on the next course or would like further information about the course then please contact the parish office. You can also find some information by visiting the RCIA website at www.rcia.org.uk.
